Peru 4 <Machu Picchu> -Japanese- ペルー2007/PERU

５：５０に起床。外はあいにくの小雨模様。急いで朝食を取り、リカルドにサンペドロ駅まで送ってもらう。７：００にマチュ・ピチュ行きの青いディーゼル機関車が出発！ゆ〜っくりとスイッチバックしながらクスコの街を右に左に山の傾斜を登ってゆく。窓側の席から外の民家と線路脇を歩いていく人達を眺める。「世界の車窓から」のＢＧＭが聞こえてきそうだ？！＾０＾

Peru 3<Cuzco> Part2 -English- ペルー2007/PERU

We all took the "motocar" again to visit the 2nd comedor nearby. Here as well, all the kids welcomed us very fondly. This comedor is a few years older than the 1st one I have visited earlier the day. And many of the children here have smoother skin, and dress more nicely and neatly than the other kids. All the kids and adults gathered in the comedor for a small meeting. Karl showed them a photo and an article, which he wrote for a German newspaper, about his supporting organization (CCC:chicos-caridad-cusco).

PERU 3 <Cuzco> Part 1 -English- ペルー2007/PERU

Since I don't have Spanish lessons till Monday, I've decided to go visit a small town near Cuzco with Lucy, Ricardo, and Karl. They have an organization to support kids in a poor community, and have established 2 "comedores"(places as cafeterias/dining rooms). The three of them visit those comedores every week.

朝食後、早速９：００過ぎにルシー、リカルド、カールと共に出かける事になった。
毎週、彼らはクスコの郊外に住んでいる子供達を訪ねている。カールを中心に援助組織を作り、それの一環で”食堂”を２つ開設。今回それに参加させてもらうことにした。

The plane arrived in Cuzco after an hour flight from Lima. It's a red city! I mean the houses of Cuzco have red tile roofs. (The view reminded me of the city of Antigua, Guatemala. They also have the houses with the red tile roofs.)

リマからの早朝６時発の飛行機に乗り、約１時間でとうとうクスコの街へ！！
赤い瓦屋根の家々の上をかなりスレスレで飛行機が降りていく。真下には子供たちがサッカーをしているのが見える〜っ！
空港ロビーでの「タクシー乗るかい？」攻撃をかわしながら外へ。今回お世話になるホストファミリーが迎えにきてくれているはず・・・だが沢山の人の中にそれらしい人が見当たらない。探す私の周りには、次から次へと更にタクシー攻撃！ちょっとしつこい。そして約５分後に私の名前を書いた札を掲げたすらっとした背の高い女性が現れた！「良かった〜。」 その人がホストのお母さん”ルシー”さん。家までの１０分弱、タクシーの中でいろいろ街の事を説明してくれた。お話し好きで面倒見の良さそうな人・・・が第一印象。（その通りの人だった。）

PERU 1 <Lima> ペルー2007/PERU

とにかく長かった・・・成田からリマ！ 飛行時間が長いのもさることながら乗り換えのヒューストンでの入国にとても時間がかかるｘ２。本当に「やっと着いた！」の実感。
でも次の朝６：００発クスコ行きの便に乗る為、そのままリマ国際空港で夜を明かすことになった。改装してキレイになったこの空港は、とても明るくて店舗もいくつか開いているため心配していたほど危険ではなさそう。もちろんバックパックからは目を離せないが。
とりあえず売店でペルーでの第一号ビール「クスケーニャ」を１缶とおつまみを買い、フードコートのテーブルでゆっくり足を伸ばして座った。そのビールを楽しみながら日記を書いたり、本を読んだりして６時間程待つ。（でも機内ですでに十分睡眠も取っていたのでそんなに苦ではなかった。すこしウトウトはしたけど。）ちなみにこのクスケーニャはキリンの一番絞りとラガーの中間ぽい味。すっきりしてるけど、ちょっと苦味があって私のお気に入りビールの新たな１つになった。
I left home in Japan about 24 hours before, and I finally(!!) arrived at Lima International Airport! And I had to wait 6 more hours to catch a domestic flight to Cuzco the next morning... The airport is open for 24 hours, and it was much safer for me to stay overnight here than taking a taxi to look for a hotel at late night.
I had already had enough sleeps on the planes from Tokyo to Lima via Houston, and the night time in Peru is the day time in Japan. So, it wasn't very difficult to keep myself awake, luckily.
I found a shop near the food court, and got a can of "Cerveza Cusquen~a", my 1st beer in Peru!! It tasted so nice since I was really tired after the loooong trip! :-)
