Martha is the chef at a small gourmet restaurant in Hamburg who creates mini-masterpieces in every dish. She devotes every waking hour to her work and her shyness keeps her from breaking out of her monotonous routine or meeting new people. When her sister dies in an accident, however, she is compelled to adopt Lina, her stubborn, 8-year-old niece. Martha's life changes in an instant: not only is she faced with adjusting to her new parental role, but she must also find inspired ways to deal with Lina's grief over the loss of her mother. Surprisingly, help comes from Mario, Martha's new Italian sous-chef, who begins to visit Martha and Lina, doing all that he can to cheer them up with jokes and elaborate meals. Just as the trio returns to a stage of normalcy in their lives, Lina's long missing father arrives, announcing that he wants to take Lina back to Italy with him. Having grown to love Lina and her own role as the girl's protector, Martha is faced with a difficult dilemma.

これはイイ！！久々ハートウォーミング映画でしたね〜　ドイツの映画だって。かもめ食堂といい、コレといい、オイシイご飯の映像が出てくるだけでなんであんなにあったかい気分になれるんでしょ？　ストーリーとしてはなんて事ないのですが、この映画の持つ雰囲気がかなり良かった！

特に初めの方のフードだけ撮るシーンや、イタリア人マリオが来てからの人間的になっていくマーサの変化も◎

こういう作品を借りてみる、ってのがレンタルの良さよね〜〜〜

The true-life story of Aileen Wuornos, a prostitute executed in 2002 in Florida after being convicted of murdering six men. While Wuornos confessed to the six murders, including a policeman, she claimed to have killed only in self-defense, resisting violent assaults while working as a prostitute.In 1989-90, a love story unfolds in the midst of the horrors and pathologies of two misfits: Wuornos, a drifter prostitute and Selby Wall, sent by her parents to live with an aunt in Florida in order to "cure her homosexuality". Nearing suicidal despair, Aileen wanders into a bar, where she meets Selby and falls in love. To keep her and Selby's relationship alive, she continues hooking, only to fuel an increasingly escalating deadly rage, a fury vented with a lurid string of killings and the media's sordid designation of her as the first female serial killer--a monster.

うーーーーー。
これってシャリーズセロンが体張って特殊メイクしてすごい、ってだけでストーリーとしてあってはいけないよね。確かに事実だし、それを的確に伝えるために作ったんだろうけど、このアイリーンの気持ちになんかなれない。　彼女が可哀想なんて思わないし、見た後にヒドイ後味しか残らなかった。
こういう映画は避けて通ろう。　でもアカデミー主演とったからな〜、一応見たってことで。

DVD：これ買う人ってどんな人よ？

When they were kids growing up together in a rough section of Boston, Jimmy Markum, Dave Boyle and Sean Devine spent their days playing stickball on the street, the way most boys did in their blue-collar neighborhood of East Buckingham. Nothing much out of the ordinary ever happened, until a moment's decision drastically altered the course of each of their lives forever. Twenty-five years later, the three find themselves thrust back together by another tragic event--the murder of Jimmy's 19-year-old daughter. Now a cop, Sean is assigned to the case and he and his partner are charged with unraveling the seemingly senseless crime. In the wake of the sudden and terrible loss of his child, Jimmy's mind becomes consumed with revenge--and his own plans to find the killer. Caught up in the maelstrom is Dave, now a lost and broken man fighting to keep his demons at bay. やっと見ましたよ、オスカー作品。先日これまたやっと見た「ミリオンダラーベイビー」あまりにもショックでここにはアップしなかったのですが、これも衝撃的ですね。イーストウッドは凄い人だね〜。
まぁ、とにかくやりきれない感じです。見た後も残っちゃうし。ミリオンダラーもだね。「スリーパーズ」を思い出させたかな。自分は普通に何の問題も無く生きて来たけど死に直面したり、rapeされたりそんな事が身に降り掛かったらまともに生きる事は容易じゃない。でもそういうニュースで見るような一面を切り取って人間模様を描写していくこういった映画はやっぱりあるべきですね。だって人生はいろんな運命があるんだから。

とにかくこういうやりきれない映画を見ると後味が悪すぎてダメですね。。。
映画としてはスバラシイですよ！　でもなぁ、、、なるべく避けて通りたいかんじ。

先日見たCasa de Los BabysにMarcia Gay Hardenがまた出ていてタイムリーだな〜と思った。彼女はThe Spitfire Grill の時以来結構好きです。今回の様なナイーブな役柄は本当に合ってると思う。ティムもすごいね、役を演じるって凄いコトだ！

DVD：これを何度も見る勇気はないです。

大好きなティムバートン作品なのにこれは見ていなかった。かなりウケました。豪華なキャストなのにすぐ死んじゃったり、訳もなく人を殺して行く火星人に笑えた！若かりしナタリーポートマンやジャックブラックも出ていて（ジャックはすぐ死んじゃうし・笑）DVD買いたいな〜♪
