Certain industries force them to lose their sanity.
Is that a proof that the market is studded with vanity?

I once entered the literary zone.
My sanity was almost completely gone.

I am proud of myself for my having survived
to this day without committing crimes.
That was the necessary phase.
I had to go through the hard times,
so that I can fully embrace the better days.

　あの業界に長年いますと、悪魔が心に棲み付くそうです。そうでなくては、あの業界でも有名な人格者があのような行為に走る理由を説明できません。

　実を言いますと、小説執筆に没頭しすぎますと、別の何かに思考が支配されます。それに長期無職期間が重なれば、なおのこと。私も何度か危険な領域に入ったことがあります。

　何も事件を起こさずに済んだのが、幸運でしたよ。冗談抜きで。あのようなことは二度とないと思います。けど、あれはある意味必要な段階だったのです。

　それでも、あれを経験せずに小説家になれる方法が仮にあるとすれば、私は是非ともそれを発見して他の小説家候補たちにも教えて差し上げたいものです。

　あれよりもはるかに厄介で強大な相手をも支配してきたはずだぞ。あの程度のものを相手にしてその程度でどうするのだ？巨象を倒したあとに蟻に負けてどうする？

　いかんなあ。何とかせねば。

I cannot believe that he executed such a horrendously atrocious act.
Do I have to accept this as a fact?
I have to say that this is way too bizarre.

He was never one of those annoying and forgettable grunts.
He was a legitimate superstar.
He had worked his way to the top by working hard.
Many do believe now that his legacy and legend are severely scarred.

Please, someone tell me that it is just
one of those Vincent Kennedy McMahon stunts.

　まさか彼があんなことをするなんて。そう言いたくなります。

　決して華やかではありませんが、地道に仕事をこなし続けて頂点を究(きわ)めたのです。私は長年尊敬していました。何があったとしても、これからも尊敬し続けたい。誰か、「あれはウソだった」と言ってくれ。誰か、「実はあれは（実は生きていた）Vincent Kennedy McMahon会長の仕込んだ茶番でした」と言ってください。

　しかし、あの業界では次から次へと変な事件が起きますね。

Some of my favorite musicians performed live in Korea.
I am sure that the audiences felt like they were treated like kings.
I do not think I can muster enough courage to go to Seoul.
I can conclude that I may not have that much soul.

Koreans seem to abhor Japanese people while loving Japanese things.
How can that be? I have no idea.

I just hope that we can all find the (musical and peace) key.

　坂本真綾は本当に韓国に行ったらしいですね。菅野よう子と一緒に。かなり内容の濃いライヴだったとか。日本でもやってくれよお、じゃなくて、やっていただけないでしょうか？そりゃあ、まあ、菅野よう子が韓国製のオンラインゲーム（Ragnarok Online 2）の音楽を担当したから、そうなったのでしょうけど。
　あれ？韓国人は日本が大嫌いなのでは？ああ、なるほど、日本の文化は好きでも、日本人がアレなのですね。ちなみに、私は韓国と名乗る国家も韓国政府も韓国文化も韓国料理も韓国人も（中略）。とは言え、やはり（中略）と言えなくもないのですが、（以下略）。

　これでやっと創作活動に入る環境が整ったのですが、肝心の私がこの調子ではねえ。自分の内にひそむ道化を相手に（意味もなく、勝てるわけもない）戦いを挑んでいるみたいです。

　恐るべきは我が鏡像。

　ついに作曲専用機が完成・復活しました。使用している機器（iBook G4, 1.2GHz, 30GB, 1.25GB）そのものは以前からあったのですが、中身を何度も専用アプリケイションで消去してからO.S. X(Ten) そしてLogic Express 7を入れ直しました。Web閲覧や執筆は、先日購入したばかりの名機(PowerMac G4)にまかせます。

　ここ2週間ほど作曲できませんでしたが、これからはもう誰にも何にも邪魔されない。

　腕が鳴る。今日から新たな伝説が始まる。作曲しまくるぞおーっ！でも、疲れたから今夜はもう寝よう。
