ASABA@Syuzenji @ Travel

I went to hot spring town, Syuzenji with my older sister
Syuzenji is also known to be a "small Kyoto."

We stayed at "Asaba" established 350 years ago.
It is a haven of relaxation!!

We went there by the Kodama Shinkansen and local line. It took about 2 hours.
This is the first time to visit there by train.
We enjoyed the time on the train because the scenery seen from its window
was changing little by little. The rural scenery made us very much relaxed.

When we arrived at "Asaba," the hotel staff directly took us to the room
and served Japanese toasted tea called "Houjicha" and buns with sweet bean-paste filling.

"Asaba" has an outdoor bath, but at that time, it was for men,
so we headed to the indoor hot spring bath for women after a little rest in the room.
It is made with the natural rocks of Izu and Hinoki.

The bath water was so velvety that my skin became smoother without any skin lotions.
Besides, it's a hot citron bath and the aroma relaxes our mind.

When we got out of the bath, the sun had already gone down.
The Noh stage, which was lit up was seen from our room.

"Noh" is a classical Japanese musical drama that has been performed
since the 14th century. "Asaba" preserves the Japanese traditional values,
many of which have been lost in modern Japan.

It's surrounded by deep green mountains along the upper reaches of the Katsura
river and floating on the pond. The view was very fantastic and impressive.
